The device uses a pressure sensor that records the suction pressure of the pump when running, the moment a slight change is detected, the filtration system is instantly shut down. This releases the suction on the fitting to prevent any further danger. As well as this the device will alert you to the problem with a visual and audible alarm. 

The system can be used on any swimming pools or spas whether it has one or multiple pumps.
